Does this replace a background check?
No. GunClear verifies the firearm has not been reported stolen. For a full legal transfer with buyer background check, use GunTransfer.com.
What if the gun comes back flagged?
If the serial returns a Record Found result, do not complete the transaction. Contact your local law enforcement agency.
How long is a GunClear Certificate valid?
Each certificate is valid for 90 days from the date of the check.
Is my serial number data private?
Yes. Serial data is used solely for verification, stored in your GunVault account, and never sold or shared.
Do I need a GunVault account?
